Profile
Background
Originally from Seven Mile located in southwest Ohio. My father taught me etiquette, rules, and how to golf at an early age. In high school I made varsity golf all four years.
Golf Course Maintenance
My golf course maintenance career started at the age of seventeen. Twin Run Golf Course operated by the City of Hamilton was where I learned the basics of golf course operations. It did not take long before I was “bit by the turf bug.”
College
To continue my turf career I was able to obtain my Associate of Applied Business A.A.B. in Turf Grass Management from Cincinnati State. Hyde Park Country Club allowed me to work full time as well as be a full time student. I gained experience in the classroom and on the job quickly.
Present career
After graduating from Cincinnati State the PGA Tour offered an opportunity for me to grow as an assistant golf course superintendent. TPC River’s Bend was an experience unlike any other. Traveling for tournament support as well as maintaining a tournament ready golf course offered challenges and opportunities.
Future
Gaining as much experience in all facets relating to golf is my goal. This includes maintaining different grass types in different climates, playing golf at the highest level possible, and understanding the golf operations as a whole.
